Say, is that a Vectrex video game console next to the radio on the dashboard there? |

is that confirmed???? Wow - it's funny how things "stare you in the face" and yet you just don't see it ( or just aren't paying attention - like me! )

Nope, no, wait a minute, hold the horses.
A quick google confirms that the Vectrex wasn't released until November 1982. So that's too late to have been in the film.
Unless what we're seeing is some kind of prototype console.
Probably just a coincidence though... the lower part of the bezal is longer and has a different angle, sugesting a keyboard there. So perhaps it was yet another ingenious custom design that anticipated a real product.

More than likely, it is an old word processing terminal from the '70's. It is probably an IBM item. |

Masao makes a good point: some older PCs had 'vertical' monitors, to emulate the look and layout of a typed sheet of paper.
It could also just as easily be a TV turned sideways.

IIRC, it is used for the "other" Esper, and maybe something else as well.

I used to use those old WP's to write on when I was a younger man.
I also had a set of these Recon Walkie Talkies. They were blue though, so maybe they were Recon 2's or something. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |
