|
|
Howdy everyone,
I am trying to construct a Grail Diary using the printable version. Since it is in PDF forum, I am having a little trouble changing print options.
I have no problem getting the pages to print appropriately to the front and back of the pages, but I would prefer to be able to print it in booklet form. What I am looking to do is print pages 1 and 4 on one side of the paper and pages 2 and 3 on the other.
Also, I am curious if anyone has an idea of where the inserts should go within the diary or is it up to me
Any other help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Hmmm. Have to go back and look for where the inserts were. I would guess they were just stuck into a point where there were printed pages.
For printing in a booklet form, have you tried any of the page layout programs? I don't know iof Acrobat pro does this but something like Form Z or Quark Express or something designed to do books and such. Maybe Illustrator will do it as well...
You might want to look into having the pages actually bound in a small book.
I'm not familiar with the pdf files specifically so I can't test it in Illustrator.
Good luck! _________________ "Your life as you know it is now over. You exist to service us" ~ newborn child to parent |

Thanks Locutus,
I did a test print using some basic settings in acrobat that allowed me to print back and front pretty easily. I also did a test binding, which turned out horrible, however; for the next one, I think it will turn out quite nice. |

Tom,
Is there still an active site with the diary pdf file(s) around? If so, where?

Yep, here it is:

I did one, it turned out just ok. The hard part is finding the proper binding. In the end, I think you may be better off making your own binding unless you can find something better.
If you do find a good binding, please let me know
Good luck!!

Tom,
Thanks for the link! Looks like a project to work on. What a generous site.
