|
|
UPDATE: 3/4/11
OK, sorry for the delay - yet again. Been busy with work and a health issue. Got past the health issue and work will be calming down over the next week. I will post photos of the wallet and begin taking orders - finally. Pricing will be changing by about $10 or so more as the badges are costing a bit more. I'll have all the details worked out next week if not sooner.
I really want to get this done and off my plate to go on to some other offerings.
Thanks again for all the interest and support with my little folly.
John
---------------------------------------------------
I hope to have photos up for the weekend. Pricing is as follows:
$125.00 Clean w/ no badge
$165.00 Weathered w/ no badge
$175.00 Clean w/ metal badge
$215.00 Weathered w/ metal badge
Shipping within U.S. $5.00
International Shipping: $12
These come with the following:
ID Card
Gold foil Vid-Phon Card
Apartment Card
Money Card
White Dragon Receipt
Tsing Tao Receipt
Mercer machine repair receipt (Nod to DADOES)
Rachel's phone number
Real international paper money with recycled ink stampings (10 bills)
Snake scale in tiny baggie
-----------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: 7/20
Wallet proto is in and so is the money. You can see the wallet has two ID windows. The idea is that you will be able to see both sides of the ID this way. Very much like federal credentials or warrant cards like in other countries. You could also use the center panel for a driver license if desired. This is an early photo of the wallet in the works and unweathered.
Here is a previous weather wallet with badge I put together.
UPDATE: 6/25
I am changing direction of this project.
I thought about it and I would like to take this project to a new level for accuracy sake and artistic license that flows well with the Blade Runner construct.
Over the past couple years it has come to light that there was no badge in the wallet. This has been noted by myself as speaking to Tom Southwell and Art Shippee who both worked on the movie doing graphics and props. Ridley Scott was asked the question last year at a benefit function and replied that there was no badge in the wallet.
That said, I would like to create a new wallet that is more screen accurate. This one will not have a badge, however those who wish to have the wallet with the badge will be accommodated too.
I'm also very happy with a concept for the paper money. Very different and fits in with the Blade Runner universe quite well. That's right money, receipts, Vid-Phon, apartment card, and credit cards. This will be stuffed and weathered to look like the one on screen.
More exciting details to follow...

Hi Andy, does this mean you no longer want your reserved apartment key and credit cards? _________________ Walk tall, walk straight

Yes I still want them. I have different display ideas, and always like extras I also need to finish figuring out which magazine pack I want from you.

Thanks for the update John!! I could not agree with your mindset more!! the closer the set can be to the onscreen original the better!! and has got to be the way to go!! I wait with anticipation, as I'm sure others will too, for your updates and photos as and when you have them!
Regards
Paul. |

Thank you guys for your support. i appreciate it.
I ordered the first wallet for approval before moving forward. It should be here around the end of next week. I will disclose more at that time.
This will be a slow process, spanning a few to several weeks before completion of a proof. I wish it could be sooner, but what I have planned just can't be rushed.
I am sincerely excited. |

Been away from the board for -- can it be? -- about two months. Things have become extremely busy at work and won't be slowing down until the end of summer.
Looks like I've missed some very interesting developments!
Are all of the slots for this project already full?
I'll subscribe to the thread and look forward to seeing this develop.

Interest thread for now. Ordering will be up once the wallet is defined and priced. A few weeks to go before that happens. |
