|
|
Hi there,
As you may be aware, I am making Bladder Run - a BR homage/parody. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to recruit Karl Harris, who trades under the name Karlus G, who is a professional tailor.
Karlus is making five costumes for Bladder Run, the first of which is prototyped in the photos attached to this post.
He is also making J F Sebastian's multi coloured coat, Deckard's shirt (the one that's brownish orange at the top and gree from the chest down (yes we do know it has a V shape of colour on the back) and Rachael's shades of grey suit and business suit.
I am also in negotiation with him to create Deckard's trench coat.
Having seen his work and knowing the scarcity of such replicas I spoke to him about offering a bespoke tailor made costume for the members of the community - mainly UK and Europe I would think but International if there is interest.
We are looking around the following for each garment - all made to YOUR or your loved one's measurements:
Roy Batty's overcoat - £250 plus p&p to your location (about £8 UK)
Rick Deckard's overcoat - £300 plus p & p as above
Rick's shirt - £70 plus p & p (about £4)
Rachael's shades of grey suit - £100 plus p&p
Rachael's work suit (do you like our owl scene) - £100 plus p&p
Please email me for details

Its called "faux leather" or "leatherette"
As a professional tailor, Karlus makes them to your exact measurements and they are ready to wear.
Im a "big" chap - 6ft 4 and 18 stones and he made the one above for me. Obvioulsy with your measurements sent through it would be unique to you.
I ll be posting the Dickard shirt and Raquel's outfit when he gets back from Portugal at the end of July. Also as I am playing "Ray Botty" in "Bladder Run" I will post some pics of the coat with my frame insode it soon - icluding me with dyed white hair!
His turnaround time is amazing - I think that within a week of ordering you could expect it to be en route (unless he gets loads of orders!) _________________ I've eaten things you people wouldn't believe |

I think MarkHev is a pretty busy guy. I would suggest PMing and or emailing him as he says above to get info. I don't think he checks the boards as regularly as we do I also think he posted info on how to directly contact the tailor in another thread IIRC.

Thanks for that Andy!
I dip into the thread about three times a week, as I am holding down a full time job (while it lasts but thats another story!) and working on my movie. I will try to respond as soon as I can as I activated email alerts for posts here.
****************SPECIAL REQUEST******************
If you are interested in the costumes above (or ones NOT listed) the easiest way to get in touch with me is email.
mark_hevingham@hotmail.com
The way this works is that I research the garment as much as the available photographic material around the world allows, and then use a Blu Ray projected at home to about a 12 feet wide picture. I draw up the design, and Karlus, the tailor takes that and turns it into a "real" design - taht is to say the technical side of things i.e. where seams, zippers, buttons etc go. He actually spotted a few more details on the Batty coat that after a week on scrutiny I'd missed due to his "tailor's eye"
The delivery times will vary but UK buyers will get theirs more quickly due to mailing times. If you can make it to Birmingham (like Jonny plans to do) you can have a fitting and Karlus will measure you for the garment. If not we will send comprehensive instructions on how to get the measurements done (diagrams etc)
We are gearing up for other costumes soon so if you are looking for a hard to get replica please email me and I will say yes we can or "dunno!"
Regards

As you may be aware, I am playing Ray Botty the villain of Bladder Run. Here is a picture of me in the coat made by Karlus.
The hair is by photoshop as I am yet to take the plunge and get it bleached. (I'll get it done the weeks we shoot my scenes then get a buzz cut - unless I like it!)
Im 6ft 4 so you can see the length of the coat in this picture
