You can purchase mine if you want...
It's REAL neon and very bright!
I think it's even better than the
one's used in the movie.

well I got my 30 dollar led umbrella from china. Took 2 1/2 months to get. So I couldnt leave any feedback on ebay by the time it showed. What showed up was not what was in the pictures. Also does not work at all. Batteries were dead so I swapped them out still didnt work. Brought it to work for our tech to take a look, the electronics are shot. Pretty much destroyed the unit trying to get it open to fix the electronics.

So my review. JUNK!!!!!!!!
wait for thinkgeek.com to get some back in stock.

Bummer, my umbrella was the second piece of my collection, the O.B.Bottle being the first. I pulled mine apart recently just to see how it works and its all pretty basic stuff.
You should be able to replace all the parts quite easily at a big electronics store.

I just got on of the LED umbrellas from Ebay out of Hong Kong, cost me $14.99 plus $9.99 postage. Took 2 weeks, but arrived in perfect condition. The handle is much more stylish than the ones posted here years ago.

I have blacked out the top with black spray paint.
My brother posing with it. Sorry about the noise had to crank the iso on the point and shoot to hand hold.

Is that one of the multi-color LED umbrella's with the silver handle? If so I have a couple of those. Paid $19.95 + $5.49 shipping via an Amazon.com merchant for my original one. A bit cheaper than the ThinkGeek one and it changes to six different colors and has an additional white LED flashlight in the base. It worked for about a week and then it would only change to three colors. I played around with it and got it going again, then it failed again after another week or two. When I got an email asking for feedback I told them what had happened and that I wasn't totally satisfied with my purchase but didn't feel it was worth the time and effort to find packing material, pack it up and ship it back. So they responded and sent me an email saying they'd send me a replacement and a pre-paid label to ship the original one back and I could use the packing that the new one came in. So the new one arrived, and there was a note with it... it said don't bother shipping the old one back. They had installed batteries and tested it before they shipped it and left the batteries in it. And I was like, wow, you don't see customer service like that much anymore! So that's how I ended up with two of them - one that works like it should and the other that still works, but only lights up red, green and yellow.

Hi Scoffman,

It is LED with a silver and black handle that screws apart into 3 sections. It is only blue but has 3 settings. Steady, quick flash and slower flash.

That is fantastic customer service on your umbrellas.
