Does anyone here on propsummit know how little decals are made or how to manufacture water slide decals or something similar? _________________ ______________________________________

Some offset print houses can make them for you, also you can buy print paper at hobby shops that can be ink jet print onto water slide sheets. I don't believe they are fully opaque so in some cases unless you are putting them on a white background you would need to paint a white area to put them on in case of lighter colored decals and such. Basically you can actually make your own. Quality would vary though.

You can buy "white backed" decal sheets that are (supposed to be) opaque. I've bought some, but haven't used them on anything yet. _________________ - Brian (formerly ToothTech)

I bought white and transparent decal sheets to print some markings on my OFFWORLD SHOCKTROOPER HELMET a few months ago on eBay.
It works really well... but don't forget to add a coat of fixative on the decals once they've been printed (or they'll desintegrate when you beguin to put them in the water !!!)

Water Slide Decal paper and Kits are available at most hobbyshops and online , you can buy all types of kits even one's that'll turn any print/ photo/ magagazine cutting , etc into a decal ! most are for ink jet printers but you can get them for Laser printers as well . If your inkjet/Laser has a good high DPI resolution you can produce very good decals at home without resorting to a specialist , I've been creating an using them for over 30 years with excellent results ! Having said that, there are some excellent SCI/FI/ Film decals available from a variety of sources that can save you re-inventing the wheel so to speak a classic example is Phil Steinschneider <phil> who produces an excellent decal sheet for the Spinner models at 1:12 and 1:16 scale , just do a search online adding decals in the search box |

My friend and I can make decals. If you can supply the artwork we can print them using an Alps printer.
He produces decals for race car model kits.
Let me know if you need any help.
