As the guy who built the 40 inches Spinner people tend to vote,in the end, with their wallet...as for the lack of room; it seems that nobody mentioned the ceiling |

If you are talking about the one being held by Frank Darabont (I will check spelling later), it was the Anubis spinner made by Rick Wyatt and Dave Barkovitz (and a bit of help from Paul Francis) in the early 90's. You are right in that it is inaccurate, but mostly in proportions (it is too narrow mostly). otherwise I was surprised on how accurate it was, considering all the variable details I have seen from screen made models and cars. many of the smaller details and unreferenced ones at the time were guessed upon most likely. It was a garage kit after all I will have to ask Dave about some of his references used to let you all know more.

No, no, no. Not the Anubis/DaBar/MIM kit from 1997. The one I meant was the 4" casting that is in the UCE extra features -made DURING BR's PRODUCTION. That one is inaccurate. It is basically the unused "Laser Spinner". It is also incomplete. There are parts missing.
Known missing parts on the UCE Laser Spinner:
-Headrests
-Canopy dome
-Headlight dome
-Interior pilot displays
What else should be included:
-Cockpit controls
-Cockpit details
-Canopy displays
-Light array
-Top 'Mars' light
-Laser cannon
-Pilot/passenger figures
-Exterior mirrors
-Bottom Light array |

Got you Masao. I know exactly which one you are talking about then. Like the stunt guns, recasts of those have been around forever too. Two tells I can think of for those off hand is the cable detail on the hood in front of the cockpit window, and the "fins" or laser mounts on the front wheel pods. They more closely match Syd Mead's drawings of the spinner, which is what I like about them. I still have yet to acquire one, and it is on my list.
