You can see the underside of the stairwell to left of Deckard's door (on the right when they are looking back at the elevator. Over the decorative railing. Next to the elevator looks like some other rooms. I think the stairwell would be accessible from the other side and a hallway in front of those room's alcove. If you have the Dangerous Days documentary there is a Mentor Huebnor drawing of that area that shows it too.

I was working on the apartment layout back in Nov/Dec last year and no one was posting. I just logged in after a few months and am glad to see others interested.
I think I have the layout figured out. I was just starting to work scales for a Google SketchUp model. (The Ennis House tile is already posted by another user.) I just got the blu-ray, which is helping with hard to see details.
My method was to do a layout of each room from the various camera angles, but then to connect everything by looking at what you saw of other rooms from each fixed camera angle within that room.
I don't see anyones layout files for review. Please post or send. |

Looking for input in the final version of the floorplan. Who wants to see the furniture in position? Or is it better to make it an actual FLOORPLAN, and only show the walls? |

I say put the furniture in, even if some of it moved depending on shots. I also noticed when looking at the close up version of the esper that it looks like it wasn't filmed on the apartment set. Maybe like some of the other final shots it could have been done in England. It explains why the props don't match at all, except for "the bottle" which wasn't in the original shots.

Point well taken... i could do a CLEAN version, and then an annoted version with scene notes and furiture... I have noticed that some of the PICK UP SHOTS are vastly different from the MASTER SHOTS, |

has anyone got any good pictures of the floor in the appartment? I'm trying to pin down pictures of what sort of plain tiles are used. _________________ "F*ck it, it's just a movie. Let him worry about it" Harrison Ford |

A few are used: pic of Rachael sitting at the table on the MacIntosh chair: same as the tiles on the wall.
Deckard picking up photo of Rachael as a child off the floor: small hexagonal tiles (brownish in colour). I think that's it, unless I missed something |
