That has to be one of the nicest looking fan films I've seen.
Shame it's not in English

Heh bonus! the trailer was in Italian, took me a second to catch it. They do refer to the ship they find in the trailer as 'the derelict' then proceed to ask the question 'what is the true nature of the force and the dark side?'
What the woman's voice is saying at the end is "Attention life support disabled".
Having grown up speaking Italian I find that most Italians speak their regional dilaect, but the films are always in the proper grammatical Italian. Kind of like the difference between the Queen's English and say southern California slang. _________________

Interesting mix of many genres: StarWars, Alien (Giger), Lords of the Rings. |

THanks guys! I am glad you like it.. I figured I would post a picture of me holding it so you could get an idea of it.. The tape measure was not a very good wa to do it I suppose.
LANBOY is the lucky guy who gets the first fully painted copy of this original model. I will cast the second as a master to keep. I am not sure how much actual demand for this there will be, but it will be far less than the Nostromo kits ..(Those were a complete pain in the neck to make). It is like joberg said...Detailing would be the hardest part, and he was right. I do not know how many times I have already stuck tiny wire into my fingers and hands HA HA!!!
Tonight I plan on having the entire left boom and side done, and start doing the whole center hull of the ship ans well and the fogged resin prototype dome...actually you will see how I plan to do this by Sunday I think... I am hoping to have this thing ready to mold in two weeks... This original is pretty heavy, lots of fiberglass and polyester filler... But I think with this smooth-on stuff, It will pick up detailing a lot better than the other resin I was using... _________________ ______________________________________

Now I am getting into the real fine detailing, using heavy thread dipped in superglue.. I cannot begin to explain how I mastered that one... mostly by accident... be careful you dont glue your lip to the tube while opening the cap with your teeth.... also adding the strange "grates" on the ship, ..I will probably have another day doing this..there is a ton on the front of this side....I will do the tips on the front, cut them off and mold them....and finish the side pod, and mold those to test out the smooth on silicon material.
SO the builder will install the side pods, the small tips on the one side, and that is about it except for painting and landscape..

Your models are the ones to beat JTP in terms of scale and accuracy!
Glad you're tackling the difficult/rare ones first |
