I'm not sure how to upload photos to here (I don't have my own webspace/Flikr etc.) but if I can I'll post up a contact-sheet of some of them.

Harry

Thanks for the pics Fred...it's a beautiful model alright. As far as decals go, you should be surprised how many decals you can see once the model is exposed. Another one like it is the Millenium Falcon: tons of little decals and text here and there

Shocked

Yep, the Falcon has a Route 66 logo upside down on top of the cockpit Wink
One of our member here (the same member on the RPF) has the same logo for his avatar.

Harry,

Just click the "upload" button in the tool bar in the upper right of the screen. Use your regular propsummit ID to login, and upload away. If you need any more help with posting let me know.

Andy

Ah, thanks Andy - I never noticed that before!

Here's a contact sheet of the photos I was talking about, I'm sure we've all seen these many times:

I'm unsure as to who owns the copyright on these images to be honest so I'm kind of reluctant to post any larger size versions. Could it have been Phil Rae or Martin Bower possibly?

Tricky question, must admit... Phil Rae told me all of Martin Bowers' photos were taken by him in the workshop... and I never dared ask Martin if it was true or not...

Phil posted some of these on another board (Eagle Transporter's iirc), so I figured it was OK to post some of the jpgs he sent me here on propsummit... (I recall he always was very enthusiastic when we talked about A L I E N)

Fred is right: I saw some of those pics posted on Eagle Transporter but not all of them for sure; would be nice to post full pics, we can always remove them if needs be.

Cool. Do you guys think I should contact Phil to see if these are his?

I'm away this weekend but I can set up a Dropbox photo gallery when I get back.

I'm not sure asking Phil if they are his is such a good idea... I remember he turned berserk when we talked about Martin and the origin of the photos displayed on his site... (ask maybe Eagle Transporter first, it looks like he knows Phil rather well)

Shocked

(A dropbox photo gallery ? GREAT idea indeed Harry !!!)

Cool

So that sounds to me like if they are Phil's photos he definitely wouldn't like anyone else to publish them, which of course is fair enough.

He wouldn't like Martin Bower to have them on his site, but I think it's OK for other Web places, as long as you mention him as the author of the photos. (That's what I did)

Ah, gotcha. But are we absolutely sure they were definitely taken by Phil Rae? I don't want to miscredit anyone either.

He offered some of these on eBay UK two or three years ago in different sizes (sheet contacts of four or A4 photos) so I guess he owns the negatives...

Have you guys seen this scratchbuild?

It's over on this model site. There is a part one and two how he made it too. Great job.
