Nice work there, Sherlock Very resourceful of you!
Like Andy said, wouldn't it be nice if someone would release the old Letraset® catalog in digital form (in its entirety).
Bootlegs DO serve their purpose, but it would be nice to have the original sets. I always prefer factory parts to after-market on the old Spinner. They just seem to fit better.
Thanks, Max!

Hahah, thanks R13!
COPY looks great! What generation is he?
I found a picture showing all the missing glyphs from Serif Gothic. Offworld Park Racquet Club has the same glyphs here:

Delicious work done, Replicant 13, great stuff! And somewhere possible to see your work in a higher resolution?
And one more question, maybe I missed the topic, is there any other information about this one cover?

I don't see the text that you mention cinephil...never saw that magazine either (damn that movie, every year you discover something new )
As for the cover and the title it seems somewhat as "kiddie porn" stuff
Thanks Synamax for the font find |

All -
New one on me! While surprised, I half expected to see more paper props come to light as time passes and Blu-Ray takes our observations to a higher level.
Like SynaMax, I have never heard of or noticed this mag before. The FASH cover was only revealed (to me) after reviewing a short making-of video that was apparently produced back in the 80's as the film wrapped. That vid shows various prop magazines that seem scattered across the ground, and only the top half of FASH was shown. At that point, I assumed that might be the only unknown magazine left.
I must say this new one has questionable "thematic tones" I would avoid tackling . . ... Perhaps a different image would be a bit more appropriate.
It would seem my work is never done . . . And I am still awaiting some further input to complete a couple of the covers before I decide just if and how I might make them available.

It also appears that there might be text to the right of the word "WET". It looks like perhaps there is a sort of caption/balloon (red) - perhaps with a black arrow(?) pointing downward. There seems to be a blue bar (with black text) across the bottom as well.
I'm unsure to what you are referring Cinephil, unless it is what appears to be a block of faint red copy to the direct left of the child's head, or what might be red text just above her. It IS difficult to tell if that is text or a red pattern behind her that looks like text. It could be a weird crown, but if it is text, it looks to read something like "__PY ___AR" ? So it might say "HAPPY NEW YEAR" and the white flecks at the left are confetti (?) in which case the child is the Baby "New Years", although a bit old.
That's stretching it a bit, but it makes the use of the child a bit more "acceptable". Any other thoughts? - R13 _________________

OK, All -
Apparently this is an actual magazine. Perhaps the image was an outtake or the magazine was accidently shown. I did a simple Google and found several covers. Here's one . . .
I will look further for that exact one, but I'm guessing it is NOT AN ACTUAL BR PROP.

|
|
From the web -
WET was an avant-garde Los Angeles-based magazine that revolved around the idea of "gourmet bathing" and later evolved to "gourmet bathing and beyond." Its publisher and creator was Leonard Koren, an architecture school graduate. The magazine covered cultural issues and was known for its innovative use of graphic art.
Over the years, Wet began to reflect a broader expanse of stories, capturing a kind of smart, artsy Los Angeles attitude that was emerging at the same time as punk, but had its own distinct aesthetic. WET lasted 34 issues, spanning the years 1976 to 1981.
I think that answers the question. - R13 _________________

While I have yet to find an image of the exact New Years cover, in searching "Wet Magazine" I found something else.
Does this look familiar?

The photo is credited to GUY WEBSTER. . .

Thanks for chiming in, Andy.
I would guess the Japanese newspaper shown in the outtakes shot is real, as well. Just far-background kipple, never meant to be seen.
I am still amazed at what pops up here. Perhaps there ARE still some paper props and magazines we don't know of as yet . . .
Hats off to cinephil and all those who keep adding their discoveries to the mix.

Perhaps this better belongs to my "NeverWas Files" , but for those who dream of electric magazines . . .

ALL IS REVEALED - Amazing what you can find with GOOGLE, if only you persist.
On further investigation, after typing in a few more word combos, here's the cover in question, in its entirty:
JANUARY 1981 -
Must be one of the last issues. - R13 _________________

I find that magazine kind of disturbing and would not touch it with a 10ft pole...at least the version with the painted up young girl on it. The real magazine is just fine by me.

First off -
Yes, that magazine cover is very disturbing and I don't wanna do anything with it at all.
Also, I'm pretty sure that the image that features the WET magazine is just a publicity still or behind-the-scenes photograph since Gaff and Rachel never appear in the movie together, as well as the fact that Rachel is wanted by the police during that part of the movie. Because it's not a Tom Southwell magazine and it's part of the real world, I'm not interested in obtaining a copy. |

Switching gears here:
I wanna show you guys my version of the MONI cover, which is one of my favorites out of the whole bunch. I hope R13 doesn't mind me posting my version of the cover in his thread. Hope you guys like it

What the hell are Gaff and Rachel doing in the same frame of film?
Not to trying to hijack.
Thank you guys for being stand up about the little girl cover too. It's appreciated. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |
