OK, so some time ago, like 2 years ago, my friend Ryan left this particular resin blaster at my house:
At the time, I put it away thinking he'd want it back, but the next time I saw him and mentioned it, he said "Oh, just throw that hunk of sh*t away!" and originally I intended to. But the more I thought about it, the more I thought "I already have a marco, but this could be fun to do something "variant" with.
Time went by, and I just never did.
But now, with the new fall season in full swing, I wanted to work on a project to get the rust off the wheels, and get me back in the groove. I worked on finishing up one of Rick's snubby (another on the way) first because that was much farther along, I knew with the marco I'd have to do a lot of fabrication.
I sat down and did a bit of an outline for how I wanted to construct it.
Here is where she stands today:
Still need to weather it, touch it up here and there, and give it some attitude.
The grip is hand painted to look like some exotic offworld dark ivory, or maybe a mineral of some kind, not sure exactly. I clearcoated it with glosy acrylic spray paint after I got the handbit where I wanted it.
The main body of the piece is done with Krylon Ultra Flat Black, and the magazine is from an airsoft shotgun.
I did a lot of hand cut, and bent aluminum pieces, which I'm also going to weather to darken them a bit, they're really bright right now.
A few work in progress pics! More to come as I finish her up later on too.
Another blaster for the collection! _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Man Noeland, you keep doing my ideas before I have a chance too. I guess I better get off my lazy ass
Nice work, and once again always great to see real variations on the theme of these guns.
