Isn't their pic a CGI 3D rendering?
Doesn't that mean there's a strong likelihood the final product could change a little prior to release? |

Could be. It's an early announcement. Once the model is ready for sale, they will probably have some additional final pics of the kit and of the completed model.
.....I noticed Roswell released more detailed info and pics of their Giger inspired models like the Sano designed Alien 3 creature, Big Chap model kit and completed model, Sil from Species kit and finished display model once they were ready for sale or preorder.
I trust that they would do the same with their 'Future Police Car 44' SPINNER once it is ready for preorder or sale. |

Gotta get one of these even if I have to let the 007 FE Golden Gun go. Is this the final product? Fingers crossed they include a working set of lights underneath to get it to almost perfection.
If not, still want one. Any direct links to contact them? _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

I've never purchased anything from the Roswell website. The only info I have regarding contacting them is via their website... they have a contact email or message system on their website.
I wouldn't mind a completed one of these....but I envisage that it would be very expensive like many of the Roswell stuff. |

Running the video you linked through the 60" Sony makes me forget all about the potential price.
Will send off an email and post any details gained. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

I ran 'Google Translate' on the Japanese writing in the website.
It translates to:
...." FPC-44 1/10 custom blue version
In full custom order, 1/10 scale FPC-44 spinner will accept the order finally to people of generally enthusiasts! Your custom spinner of all means my favorite body color, illumination unit, and custom parts! ↓ refer to YouTube. I will inform you of the details after April. ※ The image is a body color and full-spec LED type of custom order.
Go to link >>> (YOUTUBE VIDEO)....... "
Hard to decifer fully what they are saying, but it looks like full order details (and pricing as well I guess)....will be on their website after April. |

Yes, TFS indeed, I now know what you mean by the high prices cratercritter, just visited the site for the first time, their work is on another level but geez so are the prices.
One of these spinners is going to take a bit more than my Golden Gun.
The pic on the website also has correct scale Deckard and Gaff figures next to it, figers crossed. _________________ Formerly offworld66 |

At the moment, the 'Roswell-Japan' website says in Japanese....
....which translates to (using Google Translate) the following >>>>>>
"....1/10 scale FPC-44 spinner of FPC-44 1/10 custom order full version of Custom order is receiving orders scheduled for the second half of April (2014) to the general public enthusiast. Custom spinner by all means my favorite body color, illumination unit, and custom parts! ↓ refer to YouTube VIDEO. At a later date, I will inform you of the details. The image [shown here on the Roswell website] is in 'flight mode' and full spec LED lights type....."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I guess one can write / email Roswell via their website for more details. The price for a completed version will be very high I reckon...alot of the Roswell website stuff is expensive. |

To console myself, as I just know I won't be able afford this, I've just ordered the Ichiban Lego Spinner. |

Just what I thought... very expensive ... Yikes!
ROSWELL JAPAN STORE >> https://roswelljapan.stores.jp/#!/
The writing on the website(s) are in Japanese so you may need to use a translator like "Google Translate" etc.
From what I gather, the first set of only a handful of these KITS are available for order from 28April2014....but they have 'sold out' written there.
The next phase of Kits (which have 206 parts) will be available towards the end of the year (November) from what I gather...so I guess it pays to Preorder with these guys if you are really keen on one.
prices are in Japanese Yen...so I did some approximate conversions.
Basic SPINNER CAR kit is US$1300.
Optional plexiglass / acrylic windscreen/windows replacement part is US$375.
Lighting Kits are US$390 with controller.
Assembled Lighting Kit with the model if they do it is (US$775)
---------------------------------------------------------------------
So, from what I can interpret so far, it looks as though, if you want a Kit to build with all the lights Kit...Basic cost is $1690.
A fully assembled, painted model with full lighting, controller and special windscreen in acrylic, can be at least US$2700 to $3000. ?...
EDIT 18May2014: From Roswell's SPINNER kit or fully built options list /price list and order details...
In Japanese though. Looks like the price of a fully built version varies between $3000 to $4000 to the fully optioned, open doors etc. etc. costing over $5000 !! Yikes
The unpainted kit also looks cool...not cheap though.
I guess if one is really keen, one could send emails to the Roswell people to confirm.

Oooh oui As I said before: "even if I have to sell a kidney"
It's a great kit it seems and you can count on the Japanese to make great plastic kits (crisp details). I'm not very surprised at the price; other kits on the market and in a smaller scale are going for the same price.
So, all in all, it's a fair price I say, specially for the scale |

Ouch. Ouch. Ouch. With a Tomenosuke on the wish list and a New York summer holiday booked, it won't be in this run. My banker would kill my. Perhaps if they do a new run next year. _________________ Monsieur, azonnal kövessen engem bitte |

Also what adds to the price is that these are low volume Garage Kits. |

Yes, the kit is tremendously spendy, and from my perspective there are quite a few unanswered questions for me to want to pop them money for it, even though it seems worth it based on the video posted earlier.
Does the normal kit -not- come with a windscreen?
What's special about the add-on one?
Has anyone gotten an actual email reply from them about the purchase process? I emailed them a couple of weeks ago asking about ordering and timeline, and I have yet to receive a reply.
I guess Roswell is a reputable company, but I wouldn't want to trust that much money to them without better info.
