Hi all
I have only been on this forum for a short time in order to get in touch with rick about his kits.
This Is My vary first SNUB Kit (BR Kit) for that matter and want to post some WIP pics to see what you think.
I wanted A deferent Color scheme than that of the Standard so A was able to get some BLUE grips from Rick.
I decided to have A Base color of Gloss white in stead of black, than
used Some Silver Rub-N-Buff on that. it actually looks pretty good looks used and old.
after that I added some Black wash to the wording and some deep areas.
The grip trim was done with the silver over flat black. for an added touch a rubbed some places with some gold for some more color and also painted the fake screws with flat black. almost done with the painting. I hope to light this kit too.

That white gives an odd look, like some kind of strange offworld oxidized alloy.
I like it, and I like the contrast with the gold stuff too.
And I gotta admit, those blue grips are friggin' cool as heck.
That's a nice one of a kind blaster my friend. Thank you for sharing it with us! Can't wait to see it finished.

Much appreciated.
Thanks for the great ideas. "offworld oxidized alloy" I like that!

All most there.
As you can see I was able to find 2 A-23 Battery holders and hollowed out the grips to fit them inside. They fit perfectly and I also attached the trigger guard.
all I need to do now is adjust the grips a bit and add the Side knob. I decided that the magnum version knob would look killer on this version of the Blaster.

Wont the batteries be visible through the translucent grips? |

Thanks Guys.
This was my first attempt at this, and to be honest I did not think
it would of turned out as good as this.
When i started I had know Idea how I would achieve this, so i did A Google search and found this very helpful website: http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/led.htm
I than Did Some calculations and figured out that i would need 2 12V 23A batteries and so on using the rules and formulas from the website. |

Hi Every one.
After A long and enjoyable Project, I Am pleased to say that my Snub Is completed.
Special thanks goes to Once-bitten For The Sweet Weaver Knob.
Makes the Snub looks All The more Killer.
I had plans to install A laser Scope but found that it was too overkill and I might use it for my PKD-1 Kit I am working on.

That came out looking really good. The white alloy look is exotic, I'd almost like to see a version of that without the scuffing, just really glossy like it came out of the factory fresh. _________________

Cool! That came out great. The white/blue combo looks really unusual. Very unique! _________________ I find your lack of faith disturbing. . . |

MAN that looks great Gusman!
To my knowledge you are the first person, other than myself, to use one of the "Snubby-Weaver Knobs" that I make.
I think you made a wise choice on the laser scope...it was a bit over-kill and I'm sure it will look great on your other kit.
Congrats! |

WOW! Excellent finish/build-up. I was considering re-doing some of my paint job, but after seeing yours I'm inspired to crack the whole thing apart and start from the ground up. Great work man! _________________ Wait; I'm having one of those things! You know; a headache with pictures? |
