still a work in progress, thanks to a good set of photos retrieved from ebay and Buch for the interior image i prepared some images to get professional waterslide decals made and i am now working on a small run (4) of replicas.
I initially settled for a painted gold finish, but after seeing some better images of the actual one, i decided to experiment with gold leaf (still waiting for it to arrive).
these are some snaps of the progress with the weathering so far. pretty happy with the interior, the outside is still a work in progress (hopefully it will end up well!)

Good stuff...love the way you removed the paint and made it "vintage".
Did you use some kind of paint remover or other type of chemicals? |

I have seen this with 2 inside versions for the Hamburg litho and would love to know if the SA version said Cigarettes or Cigaretten. Seems the 2 versions of from Hamburg say either or. I would think "cigaretten" would be the one used since most props are european but not sure. I really like what you're doing and have purchased the same type tin. |

The screen accurate version is the one with the wrigting Neptun on the top lid onn a dark blue field. The photo of the interior i used comes from that tin ( thanks to Anders, who provided it!) so i’m faily relaxed about having all the correct graphics 😉 |

Good work mate.
I've been looking for a way to make a replica or someone to do a run since the prices went silly! |

The gold leaf effect is very good. Brings the box to another level altogether. |
