Still going with the fillister screw. This subject has been discussed here before, one example of which is included below. I have the impression that the general consensus is that this would be the most accurate choice for the slotted screw, but of course you may choose what you wish..

As I have copies of the Stunt prop with its slotted screw: I can say that is wrong.
That has a too thick head, the top of the screw is close but the rest is wrong.
The screw is closer to a Binding or Pan head like the ones in this drawing:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#slotted-machine-screws/=s09s5h
I lean more toward the binding head screw.

Richard is correct. I did not notice the seam between the screw head and the cover to which it is screwed. My apologies to you both. |

been hammering away the last few hours. this was pretty much a one shot deal so I really took my time with the setup, which was mainly re-enforcing the parts and positioning the dies in the right place (this time).
even though I hammered the hell out of them I wish I'd gotten the markings in deeper, though I didnt want to run the risk of cracking the receiver
the markings are alot thicker than the WC though this was due to the dies coming out slightly thicker than my original graphics.
full credit goes to thoren/chew as this was all his idea. "the man's a genius" |
