Always wanted a Deckard side arm and the Takagi/Fullcock was the perfect first step.
I started off with a basic paint job: Semi gloss black on the plastic parts , primer/lamp black oil paint then graphite added to metal parts . Then infilling the body and grip to add weigh.
But... the plastic grips looked a bit crap.
2 days of chain drilling and filing aircraft alluminium and I had half a decent inner frame.
A set of soulinertias grips, a few accurate screws and.....
Better but....

It was still just a glorified squirt gun.
I needed something better.
Tomen?
Too " perfect/Idealised"
The Trek guy?
To sketchy, plus I had heard nothing/ seen nothing but negative comments/photos regarding his build quality for the last few years.
So a fellow BR fan hooked me up with Michele (SP?) aka Sid kit.

I've aimed for the chopped wire, rust screw world con look.
If anyone has any advice I'd be more than welcome to hear it. I'm new to this and just want to do the best I can.
Sorry for not sharing the pics directly but I'l be damned if I can get the image hosting to work properly. |

Both have turned out very well and your Sid build looks great.
The only minor comments I would have with your Sid is that the barrel needs to be replaced (if you haven't done that) and I would rework the screw for the cylinder release so that its round.
For the rest, you've done a terrific job.
Congratulations
