Actually I don't think that's one of the images i did. It seems more deliberate, with individual structures in different colored lines. For mine I just slathered color filters over it. But I'm honored if my work inspired them. |

I wrote an email to Mr Enomoto Tatsuhiko, manager of Tomenosuke, and he was kind enought to provide me with this detailed answer.
Quote: | (...) Thanks for your contact.
We know that a lot of foreigners are paying attention to our product.
It is very glad.!!
But,I have to say.
The difference exists in Japan and Europe and America for the law of a toy
gun. The export this gun is forbidden by the law.
And there are some problems of STEYR logo marking....
First lot (about700) is Japan exclusive.Next lot is for America,Euro,Uk. May be.....I hope that.
We are preparing to export this gun around next year,
But It's very difficult.I can't give TomeBra-PRO to you right now. Sorry.
|
So, better get a friend in Japan, that will make things much easier... |

Blog update. This time we see the Photo Scrapbook that accompanies the PRO, featuring Hero Blaster photos taken by yours truly and also by Tomenosuke when they viewed the prop at Profiles.

Instead of a couple hundred of these made like the more hand made version of the Tomenosuke Gun, they are producing upward of a thousand. That is also why they are making the Bulldog body in plastic, and you can also see that the cylinder is blocked, so no real bullets can go in it. The barrel will also be blocked. This gun should be legal everywhere except where "look alike" guns are illegal. Like the UK, Australia, and some states and cities in the US, including NYC.

So, is it conceivable that the plastic Bulldog can be substituted with a real one? THAT would be an interesting build. |

They got at least one in at the Tomenosuke shop. I think the actual sale is still scheduled for the Sunday.

I can't afford one either . I like the dark color of it though, kind of in between the stunt and the worldcon hero. The gun always looked pretty dark in the movie too.
Pretty sexy for sure. Absolutely the best factory produced BR Blaster, and I am sure it can be modified.

The coloration of the hero blaster is very subtle... several dark hues, nothing is really black except for the ammo clip and housing and cylinder covers.
Under bright lighting, such as a camera flash, you see the parts looking much brighter. This is why my Worldcon photos make the gun look a lot brighter.
Here's a pic (courtesy Nobu-san) of my Tomenosuke Special which was shot without flash, so it looks pretty dark there. The PRO has pretty much the same colors as my Special.
The real prop is dark too. The only bright metal on it is the aluminum buttplate. Most of my Worldcon photos were taken with camera flash though, which highlights the metals. This pic was taken with just the available light.

Man, I have a good friend working in Japan right now. He would be there in a heart beat to buy me one if I could afford it.
If anyone wants to be my sugar daddy and get me one, I'm sure I can get him to pick up two |
