Yep, most of them were posted by Phil Rae, the guy who is credited for the detailing of the Narcissus belly...

A great thread on a very cool board IMHO... Too bad it died so quickly...

Phil Rae sent me a photo of the tiny refinery model that's seen when the ship is approching the planet orbit... Martin Bower did it pretty quickly for this single shot in 2 or 3 hours IIRC... I'll try to post a screencap of that scene, too...

Very good model! I always wanted to do one (studio model), but my wife refused to dust it

Here is a photo of the small refinery I was talking about in my previous post... (from the collection of Phil Rae. Sorry, no better resolution on this one)

A top section of one of the refinery towers has just appeared 5 minutes ago on the Propstore of London (it was auctioned on eBay a few weeks ago) :

Hi all, thought I would share some pics of my latest build. The platform will be about 24 inches long with the Nostromo attached and about 18 inches wide. The link below shows the start. (first 8 pics)

Oh, and yes, this will be a kit.

John !

Really happy to get news from you, it's been a long time since you last visited us !!!

These photos are promising, great project !!!

Cool

Do you need reference pics or do you already have enough to build something close to the original ?

Can't wait to see updates...
