has anyone got any good pictures of the floor in the appartment? I'm trying to pin down pictures of what sort of plain tiles are used.

In the sitting room there are no tiles, it looks like a rug over floor boards, check out my vintage BTS photo page, top left image on my website.

Here is the pic Ridleyville was talking about...

The rug covers most of it, but it seems to match the stone tile look more than wood floorboards.

I agree... i am continuing to detail the floorplan and tiling the floor. The Shot above with Rachael reveals details of the room on the other side of the living room. She is standing by the Bathhroom door, as evidenced by the glimpse of the metal door frame. I used software to lower the highlights and shadows and there is a half pillar if ennis house tiles that hold a Budha statue and there is a window there as well as a ornate railing... VERY COOL SHOT.

Is that ornate railing or another Mackintosh chair/loveseat bench, as seen in some other shots?

edit: here is a picture of the chair in question...

I think you guys are right, had a really good look at the hi res picture and would say they are definitely tiles. I should of looked more closely before making a comment.

That's how you know it was a set and not the real Ennis house; in the real one, there's hardwood floor covering in, at least, 75% of the house (the entrance, stairs leading to the living room and long corridor adjacent to the pool is covered with marble).

Actually the chair was my FIRST thought but when i fiddled with the exposure to see the detail, it is not the same pattern and does not appear to have a seat cushion, although it may be something else.

No, the chair has exactly the same pattern, it is just shot at a slightly different angle. You can even see the curvature of the chair with the grid getting tighter to one side. It may not have the cushion, and has stuff behind it confusing the pattern, but I am pretty much 100% sure it is the chair.

Ceiling is tiled on the movie set. Ennis house is a mixed of wood beams supporting wood ceilings and a few rooms with tiled ceilings.

Casting tiles from the inside...maybe. Casting tiles from the outside...sure, no probs: they're in so-so shape compared to the inside, so no casting material (whatever they used) could do more damage.
