I sent the artist an email hopefully everyone has a chance at this. |

Looks like it isn't Randy's model, but his friend Nathan's. Sounds pretty cool. I know all those parts have been available as screen used parts or casts from the real thing, so I wonder how many are cast from them, or are scratch built? Very cool.

Hi there fellow BR freaks,
Yes, the model Randy so kindly pictured is lacking the greeblies it will of course get once I'm back in the states in April. The strip details in the photo are merely the starters that were cast with the consistent parts attached. There will be variable details to be completed next month so they will look much more busy and random like the film.
Andy, "in answer to your query", the elevators are cast from the real prop and the main photo-etch rail has been remastered and will be reproduced as well.
This will be made into an 11 X 14 inch shadowbox-ready model for you folks who like to light things up!
Any interested parties should contact me at nathan@thegoodlisteners.com as I'm putting together a soft list.
Best wishes,
Nathan |

Thanks Andy et all,
Yeah I am really stoked to get back to this one, and like most good projects, it kind of fell in my lap when a friend gave me an elevator as a gift. I mean, that rising camera shot up to Holden's lair to me represents everything I got into miniatures for in the first place. My friends have been hounding me to finish this for a while now and after stepping back from it, the engine has been kickstarted again. If anyone has tighter shots of any of these details, it will serve to help me better capture it's essence....

Thanks guys,
My aim is to be able to put this out in the one hundred fifty dollar area, but I have yet to get quotes on the photo-etch brass costs. I will know better in the next few weeks as I am going to find some local company to do it so as to better oversee the outcome.
The kit will come with the strips, brass "tracks", diffusion sheet, and two studio elevators.
If interested, please send me an email for my soft list and I'll keep everyone updated on the release!
Best,
Nathan

Thanks!
So in order to get this going, I need to establish a list as to see how much brass to have made., Obviously, the larger the order the less I have to charge for this kit.
By the way, to fill out the frame, there will be specially produced rails split down the center flanking the piece. My thought is that if mirrors line the shadowbox sides, the brass completes itself in the reflection, kind of like an infinity mirror.
Who all is interested?
