As some of the members here know, a thing that irritates me intensely is the fact that the Worldcon blaster is often delivered in a cheap-ass box (...the delightful cardboard packing and cellophane the Tomenosuke is delivered in). Personally, I like the idea that the BR PKD is actually the very best (albeit unauthorised) firearm a rogue Bladerunner is likely to carry. Think of Dirty Harry's S&W .44 Model 29....

Soo.... since Bladerunner is actually a 'retro-modern' styled work of film fantasy, why can't Deckard's blaster have been issued in a traditional wooden box - surely the mark of a top-quality sidearm?

Since my Worldcon is the old rusted, neglected version, I worked on the fact that the gun box, money, ID tags and all the other accoutrements our hero might have stored with his firearm should all be well used and forgotten - after all, Deckard also got old, retired and forget where he put his dentures..

As I was building this, I realised that I was actually making something that was an old forgotten relic, but in reality it would only be built in or around 2019...

Excellent piece of 'retro-modern' I love the extra nice touches, like the cleaning accessories & the Ammo box , I'd like to see label on the box draw as I'm curious and can't see what's there, You've obviously lined the box and covered the lid, what did you use may I ask ? As for me , personally, I think the top looks like old worn leather , I sure many are casting envious glances in your direction ,I think your aging techniques are very-very good !!

all in all, a fantaastic piece of work ! well Done!!

Beautiful! Fantastic display box.
From the ring shaped stains on the lid, it appears that ol' Deck might have been drinking while cleaning his weapon.
