This movie has a lot of Blade RUnner in it.
Pasiv machine is obviously inspired by the VK In my opinion.
Stylish High Fashion in a sci fi noir setting.
Rich golden brown textures everywhere.
Ambiguous ending.
Asian influence.
and fucking good movie!
There was also a Christopher Nolan interview talking about how super important Blade Runner was to him. In fact, I believe he said that ever film he makes has had been influenced by the shadow of BR. I'll try and find it.

I still haven't seen this.
It's top of my list though.
Definitely does look BR inspired.
Thanks for sharing.

Nolan-
"I have always been a huge fan of Ridley Scott and certainly when I was a kid. Alien, Blade Runner just blew me away because they created these extraordinary worlds that were just completely immersive. I was also an enormous Stanley Kubrick fan for similar reasons." - Christopher Nolan
When Nolan made Batman Begins he reportedly showed Blade Runner to the cast and crew and told them, "This is how we're going to make Batman.". Also note that he included Rutger Hauer in the cast for Batman Begins.

I very much liked this movie. I love the concepts of dream imagery, and feel very much that Blade Runner contains imagery that is inspired by dreams. Especially the Bradbury apartment, which has mimicked dreams I had before I ever saw BR. Also Deckard's apartment. The architecture and settings mirror the psyche of the person that lives there, and tell a lot about their subconcious.
I did have a hard time with the concept that the dream world would go beyond what the dreamer was experiencing though. The story bothered me a little bit at times, but as an excuse for the incredible visuals, and performances, I liked it a whole lot. I also had a few moments in the film where I was saying "Blade Runner", "Black Rain", and so on. I think it still created it's own vision without borrowing too much from any other film. I can say I saw stuff I had never seen before here.
