... in the works - a 3' plus valley forge, scale truss beams, clear domes, authentic bridge, fuel tanks, large wood base, highly detailed hull, tunnels,
extensive detailing, a true labor getting the molds ready as I have been working on my masters degree is space science and a geology minor.

Sorry I have been unable to spend more time on propsummit, but things happen and I can no longer do anything alien related. However a newer and better group of models is coming out soon, including a gigantic outland shuttle. (I still have some strange unearthly derelict kits from some movie)

I love this movie even with the Joan Baez soundtrack Wink . These ships were also used in Battlestar Gallactica. I also love the storage containers on the ship as well. A nice cult under appreciated film and predecessor to the robots in Star Wars. The poker scene is a classic.

So Glad you like it David! Thats funny about the cat, I have a parrot that goes nuts when I play the sound on those things....

It was the one mold besides jobergs piece that I did not destroy.

every thing else is history.

Just wait until you see the Valley Forge and CON-AM shuttle!

well done Tovarische! this is another favorite of mine ... really looking forward to this one and your attention to detail.

doesn't hurt that it was directed by none other than Douglass Trumbull either ...

da photek, soglazen..! U nego bil horoshiy viglayd na detali i filme... a quick update.. I am doing the top of the Consolidated Amalgamate supply shuttle right now. There are some reference pics, and a few who have attempted blueprints, but I have found some mistakes in the 3D models, so I enhanced the photos with Astronomy imaging software and was able to make out the correct dimensions of the structures on the top.. I have already molded them and doing it now.

I admire your willingness to take on these relatively obscure ship designs - the amount of detail on the shuttle is pretty intimidating. Those of us who love these ships owe you...thanks JT.

I saw pictures of one of these in Randy Cooper's pics from Wondercon on his facebook page. Don't think it is his though.

There's also tons of photos from Silent Running displayed on Douglas Trumbull's site...

I am glad you like it guys. I have several sets of the beam assemblies and the main decks ready to form. I have been working on the Con-Am 27 shuttle, and I will then continue with the Valley forge kits. I love this film.

That looks like a great kit, very expensive though. Too bad they did not have more references. Great attention to surface detail, but other geometry is off.

Check out the hull shape compared to the studio model. There are some pretty glaring mistakes. This is quite a surprise after I started looking it over.
