These are the ones, it's been a while... Renamed the thread back then, but forgot to delete it again Rolling Eyes Thanks for reminding me!

Christmas came early this year!

Yesterday I received a mail from Mr. Tom Southwell with pictures of labels he desigend for eye containers in Blade Runner. I’m posting the photos here with his permission, so you guys can enjoy them as well – they’re beautiful! I don’t believe they have been posted before?

But they also present me with a dilemma. Should I make my eyeball container with this newly discovered design:

Or the design seen on screen:

Or perhaps a fusion of the two? Using the new text along with the ”Forever” sign?

I’ll need to think about this. What would you guys do?

BTW I had help identifying the signs on the "Human" label if anybody would like to use it for their own prop:

Serial No 参八五九二奌壱 M (38592.1 M)
Diameter 零奌七五零零壱 cm (0.75001cm)
Circumference 弍奌参五五零 cm (2.3550 cm)
Color 青 (blue)
Species 人間 (human)

Again, thanks to Tom Southwell for sharing these. I hope you will enjoy Very Happy

The new eyes came in today... They have the right size and shape equivalent to a grown adult. Quite optimistic about this part of the project after a longer period of dissatisfaction. Also got the glass vial that goes in the container.... The clear acrylic stand I had costum made in the UK and it shopped today. Is very excited to see it!

Time for another small update.... I got the stand and container frosted! And they look good. Took some pictures for you guys to see... I'm going to gently apply some frost effect on the edges and in the corners of the clear stand to get a more overall frozen appearance. Also ordered some of the water effect used in model train landscapes, it comes in a bottle, you pour it out, and when it hardens, it looks like water! Couldn't be easier... Looking forward to playing with that Very Happy

I never cease to be amazed at how seemingly insignificant props take on a whole new importance in the hands of the inspired. Magnificent work, Buch!
Also, have you tasted the artificial water yet?

Looks A+ in my book Anders Cool ...make sure that water agrees with your plastic (should)...but you never know.
I've tried some kind of artificial water before (not this German brand mind you) and the surface remained sticky for a long time (didn't mention it on the instruction sheet) Confused
Sooo, the surface + the dust in the room made for a strange looking water (fuzzy if I remember well) Rolling Eyes

Good luck and great looking prop once again!!

The container and stand are looking great.

Don't know if you're aware of it but you can buy frost effect sprays.
I've used them in the past on some commercial projects and they're very effective.

These are a couple of suppliers here in the UK;

Thanks Pro Mod! Especially the Frosted Glass Spray from Snowbusiness is awesome... Only problem is that aerosols normally don't ship to Denmark... Most mail come by air... Do you know a company shipping by boat from the UK?

Hello!
Jens here. I have been following this wonderful build all along, too...

There are some frost effect sprays available on Amazon Germany, maybe these go to Denmark via train.

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B004679ND8/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_3?pf_rd_p=556245207&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B00E9RGWRK&pf_rd_m=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&pf_rd_r=15Y94QDRPC0RWEWVF8WH

Or I could order some and mail them to you, I guess. Just in case.

Just contact me.

Have I mentioned this is a wonderful idea for a build?

Cheers!

I took your advice, Jens, and got some frost effect spray from Germany... Thanks! It took literally NO time to arrive Very Happy I've been playing around with it on the stand and container... Also tried to give it a "water running down the sides" look... Here's a quick shot of it....

Happy I could help. The containers look very good, I think the "running water" effect works very well! How did you achieve it?

Actually, this occasionally creeps me out. Sometimes I have the feeling the parcels arrive even BEFORE I could click on the "order" button...

Come to think of it, this could not be more in the vein of Phil Dick.

First the container was sprayed with a glass frosting spray, they sprayed from different angles with the frost effect spray, and then last I let drops of the artificial water run down the sides Very Happy Easy but it looks great! Will post pics in different lighting when it all comes together...

Still working on that damn eye Evil or Very Mad But have finally found a look and technique that seems to work....
