Saw this linked on gothamist under the headline 'Williamsburg Goes Full Blade Runner'...

Not sure it's 'full' BR, but it does have a certain 2019 feel to it. I would prefer if the whole building had the futuristic look, not sure why they went for plain box on the first few floors.. maybe structural concerns. |

cool building but not blade runner. Also people will likely find it obnoxious in just a few years.

Nope, not BR. Just a pretty derivative structure. Nothing new there. Looks like it was designed by 4th year architecture students. And mediocre ones to boot.

Heh. My gf has her degree in architecture and quite often when we come across one of these 'futuristic' buildings she remarks 'that looks like some ridiculous $%^# I would have designed in school'. |

Interesting. My first thoughts had something to do with Lego bricks. I would expect a building like this in "Minority Report" rather than BR. |
