Noeland may be able to fill us in more but it looks like Hartford is offering a Kit now, as well as Noeland's Snub. Follow the link for all their BR stuff.

Very interesting. Looks complicated. I wonder if those brown things are to simulate a tortoise shell grip? |

I do not believe they are "brown" things, but instead silvered material. Maybe influenced By Rich Coyle's early attempts to make the grips glow.

I can see a ton of stuff that's wrong with it - buttplate, trigger guard, etc.
Probably not worth the $700+ they'll be selling for on Evilbay... |

The "brown things" are thin pieces of metal with a plastic coating on them that peels off.
I really know as much about the kits as anybody, and if I know hartford you'll have to go through a retailer in Japan to have them shipped to you, or the guys on ebay who makes 5 buying trips a year from cali, and then sells them on ebay. I think he's already sold one of these kits.
I haven't spoken to Kato in a long while, but I'll email him about these, see what I can find out.

This is really the only firing version of the gun commercially available. Airsoft or cap firing.
I've never agreed with the inflated ebay prices either, but the gun retails for about $550 in Japan. The folks who sell them out of cali go to Japan on buying trips, get them over the counter, then come back and sell them at a profit because they are not easy to get here.
The hartford guns are not screen accurate or built on the correct revolver, etc. This is their own intepretation of the blaster, kind of like Rick's with just a lot less flair. The revolver they built it on is one they already produced.
I did nag Kato for 2 things. Producing a cap firing version of a charter amrs bulldog so their blaster could be more accurate, and also to produce an all black "street patrol" version like Rich did for awhile.
I still haven't seen the worldcon version they are working on either. very curious to see what they do. _________________ I don't have enough blasters! |

Amazing. I have a friend in Japan and he has emailed Hartford to get one of these blasters. Apparently they are already sold out.
Why put it on the site if it is already gone?!?!?!?!?!?
I would love to get one of these things.... I really would. |

Ask your friend to see if he would be willing to pick up a few of those blaster stands, they look to be about 10$ each. (never mind, just noticed they were out of stock)
As far as the gun being sold out, I don't know how long the ad has been up, and they do pretty small runs of them, so they sell out quickly.
On a good note they keep making new runs, and the kit version brings the price down a few hundred dollars, making it much more affordable. Hopefully down the road not only will we get a more accurate worldcon inspired gun but also a kit version of it. I just hope they can make the Steyr reciever parts out of metal as well.
I can only hope that any of our members in Japan can get on Hartford's mailing list and maybe help us procure some of these the next time they come out.

The Monsters in Motion gun is also known as the Offworld M2019. I have one and it is the one that I often 'play' with the most. It needs a new paint job and is a bit small in the grip, but is a value for the price and durability makes it a great starter gun, even if it is a bit toy like. If only for the fact that you may let friends hold it it is worth it that it is the most durable made except for maybe the Hartfords.
Good luck,

When you say the grip is smaller, do you mean just the grips and the grip frame that attaches to the revolver grip? or is the revolver grip smaller too?
Because if the revolver grip is the same size as a Coyle or Sid, it could be feasible to replace the grips, grip frame, and butt with parts from a Sid no? _________________

The revolver grip is the same size as a real Bulldog frame, so if you bought the Sid Upgrade it could theoretically fit on it. The leangth and girth of the Offworld's grip is a tad but small IMHO. It seems to have been based of measurements of the Early Coyle(version 3) or the Hartford. With the 'notched' buttplate it will fit my hand snuggly, and is monsterous compared to my stunt castings.
As far as the "other" guns, I don't think anybody has made the "Ultimate" version yet. If that is what you are looking for I say hold off and download and study Karl's worldcon pics closely. Or just buy a totally non cannon Rick Ross PKD, because they look cooler than the real thing
